Spring. The time of year when the tiny buds appear.
The rich warm earth calls out my name.
Smells of rain, new flowers, freshly turned dirt.
The pitter-patter of rain drops and the brilliance of the sun after an afternoon shower capture my imagination.
I long for solitude in my newly planted garden.
I watch, holding my breath...for any signs of new life.
I listen. I wait.
"I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope." Ps. 130:5
"And now, Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in You." Ps 39:7
"The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the person who seeks Him." Lam. 3:25
The Garden is also where Jesus went to pray.
He's calling our names. He wants to walk with us, talk with us, watch, listen and wait with us...in the Garden.
Will you answer Him?
What a PERFECT time to create gentle habits ...right in the middle of the government orders to stay home. No need to be bored. All those times you dreamed of a beautiful life? The time for change is now. Stop wishing you were somewhere else and calm your heart in the Presence of the Lord. He whispers our names. He doesn't usually shout. Can you hear Him? Listen.....
